·Hi everyone,
New to the hobby here - today I made my first Omega parts purchase: a watch case, caseback, and dial, which I plan to service and build into a working watch in the future.
To my eyes, everything looks correct (aside from the crystal), but I’d really appreciate a second opinion from you lads, the experts: does this appear to be an original Omega?
It’s an Omega Genève Automatic, ref. 166.099, from the 1970s?.
The crystal unfortunately doesn’t have the Omega logo etched in the center, which makes me suspect it’s a replacement. Am I wrong to assume that?
