I have recently inherited this watch, didn't come with a box or any paperwork, I have my suspicions it may be fake, can anyone please confirm? Thank you
Do a search on Omega 2576 and read up. That is what it looks like to me.

You have a genuine and very beautiful Seamaster here. If you intend to wear it, send it for service in a good watchmaker😉
It looks like a jumbo ref, not a 2576. Probably 2494/2657. Dates to the early 1950s. The size makes it a bit more collectible than a normal 2576.
Is it gold-plated? The lighting is really poor in the photos, but the top and underside of the lugs looks golden, but the case-back looks stainless.
I guess now I am seeing some damage to the plating on the lugs. If indeed it is gold-plated and the case is damaged, the value will be mainly sentimental.
Thank you, would you know an approximate valuation for the watch? I am intending to get it cleaned and serviced at our local Omega shop.
Omega won’t know what to do with vintage, or they’ll charge you Way too much for restoration. Take it to a local watchmaker.
