Hi everyone, I have a quick question regarding my new omega Seamaster 300M professional. (2015 model) After leaving under light to test the luminosity I noticed that the glow of the hour hand and small dot on the outer dial glow differently to the other dots and lines... Hard to explain... The watch does have a serial number and omega seal... The omega icon and name are both attached to the face not printed. Date flips perfectly. I purchased the watch from a certified dealer, the watch came with box and paper work. (White box) Regards, Concerned buyer...
Intuitively, I would say that if you bought it from an Authorised Dealer, then it is almost certainly genuine. If you search the threads in the Modern Omega section, you will see people's photos of how the "lume" glows and I seem to recall that the difference in colours has been shown a ew times.
Thank you so much for the reference pic! Greatly appreciated!!! I was really concerned when I first noticed the difference...
Its meant to, watch the video here to see more of it in the dark: https://omegaforums.net/threads/video-omega-seamaster-pro-300m-ceramic-review.16319/
Ton my 69 speedmaster the lume on the dial plots dims after about 3 seconds but it only last 2.5 seconds on the hands. Is that normal?
Here is mine I bought this in 1998 just had it services again and still runs perfectly ! As for your watch imho looks real to me I'm no expert but you will also know from the quality of the build the sweep of the second hand and if the pins in the strap start going then there are issues ! Due to material quality !
Visual inspection looks Very Good to Me.The intensity of lume on the dot on the outer dial & hour hand are higher because of an extra thicker Superluminova coating. Casing Engravings are faultless in keeping with a genuine Omega SMP 300. Turn the unidirectional bezel & hear the racheting clicks. Genuine clicks are short ,sharp & emit snappy metallic sounds
Yes, there are two different colors on there, on purpose. The dot and the minute hand are different so you can spot them more easily when using your Seamaster as an actual dive watch. Tom
