Is Moon Watch Chronometer 3861 and 1861 dial right?

It was recently upgraded to the 3861 Moon Watch.
However, I like the logo and feel of the 1861 dial more, so I'm going to replace the dial. According to the information, 3861 Movement and 1861 Movement are the same size, so is it possible to swap dials? I need advice from seniors.

Do you mean you would like to swap the dial on a new 3861 to an older 1861 dial?

That's right. I don't like the 3861 Moon Watch dial logo. I don't have any information. I don't know.

If we can replace it, it'll be good news for us.

But then, you'll be losing the step dial !

I found the step dial and the DoN bezel most attractive. So attractive that I bought a new 3861.
However, IMHO, the jury is still out on this new 3861 movement.

I miss the pyramid shape on the older 1861 dial. But I'm not sure a straight dial swap makes sense, since the Chronograph seconds hand are different between the models.

The 3861 dial's Omega logo won't line up with the tear drop of the older 1861's seconds hand, and vice versa.

321 vs 861/1861 have different dial feet length.

no one I know has checked the dial feet length and location of the 3861 vs 1861/861 yet.

Ditto.
I'm going to sit this one out until I have more confidence in the movement.

As much as I like the new stepped dial, personally I would leave things as they are.

I know that as well. If I can change the movement, I'm going to get parts.

The feet fit according to this Panda dial mod on a 3861, but it is not pretty as there is a gap between the edge of the dial and the case, and the second hand issue. Currently on C24 asking 11K ????? , not my watch nor interest....

And not too long ago, there was a listing here on OF that went the other direction- 3861 (Snoopy) dial on a 1861 movement/case. According to the owner, the running seconds hand is a 1861 hand painted blue as the 3861 hand wouldn’t fit.

Yeah, that gap is a loser. I'm wondering if the conversion was done right, you usually won't have a gap like that. But maybe the lighter dial just exposes the ill fitment of an 1861 dial on a 3861 movement/case whereas it would be less visible with a black dial swap.

Looks to be a better fit.
