Hello everyone. I was thinking about adding my first Rolex to my collection but before I pulled the trigger I wanted everyone's opinion on the price. The price is $4,000. Does that seem like a fair deal? Here is what is listed.

Reference # 16014
Rolex Men's Datejust 36mm Stainless Steel Watch.
Rolex Professionally Refinished Black Dial set with Aftermarket Genuine Round Diamond Hour Markers.
Rolex White Gold Fluted Bezel.
Genuine Rolex Stainless Steel Jubilee Bracelet With Genuine Folding SS Clasp with Engraved Rolex Crown.
Rolex Certified Chronometer Self-Winding Automatic Movement.
Brand new acrylic plastic crystal.
The Black dial has been customized with (Not Rolex) Aftermarket genuine round diamonds hour markers.
This watch has been fully polished and serviced (Its free of all scratches and dents it looks like a new watch.)
2 Year Warranty

Mainly because I haven't seen any original diamond dials for that amount of money and I really like the gold hands and markers on a black face. Yes that is correct, Reference 16014.

A personal preference but I like the factory Diamond dial for the 5-digit reference better (apart from that is original) because it has smaller diamonds compared to later models and to the one you are looking at.

The gold indexes and hands belongs to the gold / TT version, you can always buy a steel and add the dial later on but if you like the gold maybe go for a TT model?

I have been thinking it through in my head and I decided to wait until this virus subsides because I would need to take it to a Authorized Rolex Service Center and get in inspected for authenticity and none are open now. Thank you @hejsam for your input, I really appreciate it.

I ran into someone selling a few Rolex and tudors when I was close to purchasing one. He had one of these. I didn’t go into detail about price as I just can’t get into the diamond thing. They are tastefully done it’s just a bit too much flash. Having said that we all have different tastes that’s what makes the watch world so interesting. I hope you are able to obtain a nice example, you are probably wise to hold off till things are back to normal as far as getting it checked out. Good luck
