Is it worth buying a rubber strap for my AT Worldtimer (summer in Texas)?

Is a rubber strap really that much better at allowing sweat to dissipate than the bracelet is? Summer weather here features daily highs that are typically 95-110F (35-43C) from mid June until mid September, so 3 months of this normally. The strap would be for the watch below (which I just got a little over a month ago, my first Omega and first really nice luxury watch, very pleased with it by the way):

Also, I'm thinking of buying the Omega strap that they specifically make for this watch, which they don't sell on their website but I presume my dealer could get for me (Bachendorf's in Dallas, ask for Alessio, great guy and very patient with customers who need 3 hours to make up their minds). Anyone know how much it is? Experiences/opinions on it? Recommended alternatives?

Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Bought the same one in early April. The boutique had both and i too went with the bracelet. Rubber in 100+ degrees won’t be very comfortable . Our summer temps are about the same as yours and I think the bracelet is the way to go.

Right, so what then is the purpose of rubber straps if they don't perform better in the heat than bracelets?

Just a different look i guess. It gives a great color pop on the strap and gives a sportier appearance.

I have a couple of watches on a rubber strap and when it gets hot out, they sweat like crazy and slide around on the wrist. I prefer to wear watches on either a bracelet or NATO in the warm weather. YMMV

Thank you. Maybe I'll just stick with the bracelet then, I don't think this watch would be appropriate on a NATO, it's not really sporty at all let alone a dive watch.

I agree. I think it's meant to be on a bracelet. Great watch btw!
