I have concerns about the cheese resistance levels of my Speedmaster whilst eating raclette.

    Is it safe?

    Should I get drunk first?

Do I need to have been skiing/snowboarding, or is it appropriate to eat 2kg of melted Swiss cheese, whilst sat on my couch in pajamas?

    Please Help!

Don't even think about it. If the watch slips off your wrist and somehow falls into the cheese and then the cheese gets pushed into or around the crystal or pushers and then it somehow gets inside the case god knows what kind of damage you could do. Don't be a fool. Always remove your watch before consuming any cheese product. I can't believe you don't know this. :whipped:

I don't think it is even safe to wear clothes while eating it.

Also remember to wait 2 hours after eating it before going swimming.

You can however eat raclette while taking a shower, ..........if you are wearing submariner.

So... if my Speedmaster accidentally fell into the raclette, got coated in cheese, paprika, a couple of small pickles, a slice or two of boiled potato, and some rye bread... I shouldn't eat it?

No , you bring it to Al, he knows how to professionally lick up the cheese.

    Actually, I think it's a 10 to 1 cheese to water ratio.

Your Speedmaster should be good up to about 5m worth of melted cheese. I've done this a number of times with mine, and never had any issues...

Correct, it should be set aside while you begin to prepare the rest of the ingredients to make Brioche al a Raclette for your dinner party later.

Should be OK as long as you don't have sunburn.

Omega France offers a special test for hot cheese resistance. Its called the Eau test, many people thinks that is just how they say water in French, but its actually a homonym for Eww Test.

Anything that involves getting drunk first is a sure fire winner!!!

    Go for it!

.....any speeds damaged in the action of raclette gorging, can be instantly fixed by STS.......
    EDIT....could be fixed by STS

I, for one don't find this very funny, the oil from authentic Swiss Raclette cheese can and will permeate a watches seals much quicker than just normal water or most other liquids one encounters in normal, everyday life.... How can someone be so reckless?

The raclette? Well that all depends on how hot it is.

And don't even think about washing the raclette down with a glass of water if you're wearing a speedy.
