I've been looking into buying my first vintage watch. I found this Omega Geneve 1969,and I'm wondering if it's real, and what a decent price would be for a watch like this?

The pictures are a little unclear, but hopefully clear enough to make out whether it's real or fake Screenshot_20200112-084443~2.png Screenshot_20200112-085149~2.png Screenshot_20200112-084408~2.png Screenshot_20200112-084618~2.png Screenshot_20200112-084559~2.png

Real but with degraded hands. This was the entry level Omega model from ~1970. Manual wind ones like that can be picked up for $150-250 on ebay. Don't forget servicing it will cost as least much again maybe more, then you'll have a watch worth maybe $300-400, the maths sometimes don't add up on an older piece like that. The case is in very good condition but I would want to see the movement, if the hand issue was caused by water ingress it may have hidden gremlins.

    ps that is not a 135.014 its a 135.041.

Lettering on the dial looks legit, as padders said hands are degraded and assuming the seller doesn’t have a service history or hasn’t serviced it recently then you would need to get it serviced. Just make sure you go to someone good who won’t re-brush or polish the case and let’s you know if parts need replacing before replacing them.
