Hi guys...new to the watch collection thing, Been collecting for a few months, old and new.....but really want an older Omega Seamaster, specifically to celebrate my birthday this year (grand age of 60) and have found this wee dancer dated 1956.....(do the math)...

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=291658423976&globalID=EBAY-GBPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Made 2 offers but have been turned down twice, last offer was £425.00...... The big question is or indeed are, is it worth what the seller is asking and is it a genuine piece? Many thanks for any advice and tips etc...

Based on the serial it is more likely a 1958 or 1959. And even at £425 I find it overpriced.

Nice fonts, dial looks original. Shame about it being over polished, still a good watch but a bit expensive.
