Post pictures not just link! For archival purposes...

Anyway for 9k - hmm, I don't know, not an expert but personally for me the dial doesn't do it for me - Would not buy for 9k.

I think the buyer for 9k later might be thinking something like 'wow for 2k more, this and that is so much better' since it's really scary, just add a few k on top and the condition suddenly insanely improves. But keep adding ks and it becomes like 15k..

I was following this one and didn’t think the re-lume job was particularly attractive

I always use close up photos on my listings to avoid surprises and will never pile on the BS like some sellers do.
The lume job looks great to the naked eye but if the buyer is not happy He can send the back no problem. The watch looks far better with lume than without, you can trust me on that.

I guess the case and lugs wasn't so appealing either. 1st time me saying this but "condition condition condition..." =)

I like the ghost bezel though

Seems like a straight honest piece to me, with a decent, realistic, (almost) no BS description. Likewise I don't care much for the lume colour/appearance, but each to their own, 46 people out there obviously like it well enough. The case looks OK to me, doesn't look over-polished, what are the issues?

What is wrong with the case and lugs?
I see nothing except a case/watch that has been used over its 50 odd years.

Might be my skills judging cases then. I thought those quite rough marks on the lugs has som effect on pricing...

The difference in prices is sometimes just too hard to understand for me. "almost similar" 105.003 goes for 20k USD and this one under half...

How about the lume job? imagine you'd want to relume this one. How much would removal of lume and reluming cost approx? (by someone skilled)

I am into that watch for around £8000 with import duty, then I have to pay 20% VAT on the selling price so a return is fine with me.

Personally, I think the lume is probably much better / more attractive, than the images suggest…& no fault of Michaels photography

There is always a significant difference between ‘transmitted light’ …a computer / tablet screen ?……and ‘reflected light’ …what the eye sees in reality…very often, that difference manifests itself, in the colour balance and hue

The human eye has an unbelievably massive range, of contrast and tone…whereas a screen produces a much narrower rendition…that is again affected, by individual manufacturers software…and ‘users’ personal calibrations

The only truly dramatic exception to that rule……is the comparison of slide / transparency film ( transmitted light ) …to a straight colour print ( reflected light )

A 10” x 8” Film Transparency…not only records contrast and colour, comparable to the human eye…but, it’s actually sharper then reality !

I seem to remember that we had a ‘yet to be scheduled’ intended afternoon, playing with your Leicas in the Yorkshire Dales ?

Especially appropriate, as I have just had my 1959 M3, given the full ‘spa treatment’
