Note the date wheel on this 36mm quarts. It's in the AM and the date wheel looks stuck. Between the 23rd and 24th.

    Any advice?

Probably broken, yes. Send it to an authorized service center.

Your title reminds me of one of my co-workers who has a habit of breaking equipment (I handle purchases and repairs for the office).
When I ask “how did you break it?” He says “I didn’t break it, it got broke”.
To which I will ask “but how did it break?”to which he replies “dunno-it broke”...
to which I ask “what were you doing with it when it broke?” To which he will reply “ I didn’t do anything- it was just broke”.
We could go on like that forever....

^^^ When a kid spills his milk he always says, 'it spilt', he'll never say 'I spilled it'.

Said co-worker has clearly not graduated beyond that tactic.

Reminds me of "it needs fixed" or "it needs repaired"...like nails across a chalk board...

"to be" or in this case, not "to be"...that was the grammar...

My wife does that, so I have learned to find it endearing. I wonder if it's a regional thing.

My lady’s family does the same thing- “car needs washed”. They are rural Pennsylvania.

Interesting. My wife moved around a lot as an Army brat, but she spent a fair amount of her formative years in rural parts of Western MD and Eastern WV, very close to the central PA border.

The watch is 20+ years old and as being a quartz watch likely never had more work done to it then a battery change. Time for a service.

This technique is described in the course on the psychology of family life. There is no one to blame for it. Take the watch to the watchmaker, he will throw the ring with numbers on one tooth and you will be happy. In general, the watch looks like it went through more than one war. Or maybe this watch was worn by 007? )))

Not necessarily rural - I had a law professor in Pittsburgh who said it also.

Them sorts are a strange lot. Same area as the Amish. You know...the ones that shun electricity and motorized modern stuff. Except when they leased a chunk of their farm land for a massive drag racing facility and cash the checks every month. :D
