How to spot if something is not correct on vintage Omega Seamaster dial (indices, hands, & labels) when the references online is limited. For example, this example here is case model CK 2828 but the examples I see on the internet, it has “swiss made” on the dial and this one has only “swiss” on the dial. Is this a refinished dial? Thank you!

I also think it should have Automatic under a better attempt at 'OMEGA'

So you have the reference number you can google, that leads you to the year 1954.

If you google

Seamaster 1954 omegaforums

you will find pieces from the same year to compare (up to a certain degree only)

I'm with @JwRosenthal that this dial isn't correct

Hope that helps

2828 is an auto I believe. If the watch you show is manual wind, it likely isn’t a 2828.

Oh! I made a mistake on that. I found one on the internet “OMEGA SEAMASTER REFERENCE 2814 - 4 SC. CASE 32 MM. YEAR 1956. MANUAL MOVEMENT CALIBER 420.“ Everything is the same except it says “swiss made” some “swiss”.
