I found this unbelievable fish scaled like tropical green patina constellation. (Probably moisture issues 20 y ago) but watch runs 2sec. A day plus so still superb without clean.
I saw people loving this on rolex pieces. Any fans here in omega land ? Regards isi from belgium.

I agree that it looks incredible - but definitely not a fan.
Happy to let the Rolex boys and girls collect (and pay a premium for) damaged watches.

I just don’t have the words to express my dislike of anything like this. 🤮🤮

I don’t want to be harsh as I know people like this stuff but I personally don’t get it. I mean if it was real cheap ok kinda cool look but to pay a premium, damn. I saw someone selling a linen dial omega with an “amazing tropical patina” I looked and it was just moldy. A little aging can be cool but I don’t get these extremes but to each his own.

I think that heavy patina/damage like this is typically a very personal preference, and on a case-by-case basis. Very hard to generalize. For example, I like some brown dials, and dials with very even faint spotting, and I enjoy some of the crackle-spider dials.

The OP dials don't appeal to me personally, but I can see why they might interest someone.

I tend to like patina but this is just severe damage. If it is cheap and you really like it, get it. If you aren't keeping it forever, don't get it as you will have difficulty selling it.

Both are unwearable imo, especially given the connies indices rust and case finish.
But if priced at relative pennies, they could be fun beaters.

Regarding the ROLEX: I remember HRANEKS "A MAN & HIS WATCH" page 166
Similar condition. "A lot of people say it's wrecked. Actually, it's detroyed, but for me it's a work of art" I agree....😀
