because they have access to the best drugs on the planet and I want some. http://hobarttown.com/product-category/vintage-watches/ I think Hobart must be the best place in the world.
Upon further review it appears they are closing their brick and mortar shop and going full on-line. Now I feel a little bad. But, I still want their drugs.
And I agree about the stuff they're smokin'. Prices in AUD? Not one watch under AU$1000! My humble collection must be in the four figure bracket going by their assessments.
Four figure? Try seven or eight, Lulzzzzz Just your Wittnauers get you over the finish line. I remember when Dennis abused me like 3 or 4 years ago for predicting that Wittnauer Chrono's would be a hot ticket one day. That Dennis can be very abusive lolxxxxxx. Dennis = meanie.
He joined here once, trying to spruik a cloussane dial. We made so much fun of him, he left. Will try and find the thread later
But seriously, re the drugs, Tasmania ha the largest legal opium plantation in the world, and it also grows hemp......
Heading to Tassie next week Anyone want anything from http://hobarttown.com/product/vintage-longines-conquest-c1957-original-black-dial-box-papers/
Who wouldn't want "the best original example" of a Longines Conquest "that you'll ever see!"? Especially the rare and sought-after version without "Conquest" on the dial! Those devils!
Salamanca markets has some rubbish but you never know what's in among the pile. Dinner at the Drunken Admiral was excellent, especially if you're staying at the Henry Jones IXL place on the waterfront. A trip to MONA is a must, only if to say "I've been there". Forget Wrest Point Casino, it's like a seedy museum from the 1980s. (unless it's been done up). Another good place for seafood is also Mures, also on the waterfront, top floor with great views and top food. And if you like whiskey, then try some of the stops in Hobart, or even venture out to the distilleries. Nant is nice but exy, Sullivan's Cove is my favorite Tassy drop and I still have to try Lark and many others. If you get thirsty after Salamanca markets drop into one the many bars close to the area with good Tassie beer and if you need fresh veg and fruit etc there's a great little market Called Salamanca Fresh right on Salamanca Place. Anything else let me know.
Heading down for the wooden boat festival http://www.australianwoodenboatfestival.com.au/about-us Might come away with a
LOL - I stayed there once for a week. but it was the early 90's so it didn't seem too dated at the time...
As the Forum's possibly only active actual Hobartian, I can soundly concur with JimInOz's observations!
