I'm trying to sell one of my watches and one shop owner gave me an offer of $650 and said my watch was at 70% condition. Am I being cheated on? I'll try to upload a pic.
Could be more, could be less. You need to provide pictures. You should try to get front, back sides and most importantly the inside showing the movement and the inside of the case back. Then we can tell you a lot more.
This is like me saying "I want to sell my Ford. How much should I ask?". Just saying De Ville isn't enough information. What model? What year? What condition? What case metal? Sooooo many more questions....
http://s1356.beta.photobucket.com/user/clockblock12/library/ Sry I took this w/ my potato phone, but on the back it has a serial number (542227229). Another shop owner didn't accept it and simply replied "Quartz". I don't know how to disassemble a watch so this is all the info I can provide.
It was given to me as a second hand gift by a relative, but she claims it costs around $3000 at retail?
Retail is not actual selling price, and used quartz watches only fetch a small percentage of that. If you're being offered $650 take it before the buyer realizes their mistake.
Sry for bumping an old thread. I took it again to the same shop and the owner asked to open the back for a checkup. Offer is down to $230 now that he knows it's just one of them typical Quartz. Take or leave?
