So, being an Australian its now the 26th of September and I've had my iPhone 6S 128GB in Rose Gold for about a day since picking it up at 9AM. Of the big new features the two headline acts are 3D Touch and the camera, just briefly 3D Touch is far more amazing than I could have imagined, in the OS its a gimmick but in Safari you can peek at any link and if it looks interesting push harder to pop it into the browser frame. Its the single biggest advance in web browsing since the mouse wheel in all seriousness, especially for forums like Omegaforums where you can peek into subforums to see what's new.

Which brings us to the camera, the 12MP camera is the biggest upgrade Apple's made in a long time and just briefly comparing it to the 5S I used to have the difference is absolutely staggering. This new camera can pull off shallow depth of field, is dramatically improved in low light, and makes the old one look rather awful by comparison.

For all of these photos I was in a fairly dark room with a single LED lamp as the only lighting source.

Watches are:

Omega Speedmaster Pro Gemini IV
Omega Speedmaster Pre-Pro 105.002 Cal 321
Omega Speedmaster Pro 105.012 Cal 321
Omega Ultima Chronometer OT14324
Rolex Submariner 1680

All photos are full 12MP size, and you can click to bring them full screen, but be aware they're ~2.5MB per image.

Fantastic photos! The Gemini IV looks particularly good under these conditions and behind your camera - though it might just be because it's beautiful to begin with 馃槈
I'm on the latter upgrade plan, so I'll have to wait for next year's iPhone 7 to try all this out, but now I'm already looking forward!
Might have to look into my upgrade plan for Speedmasters, as the Gemini IV wasn't on the schedule before, but might be now.... 馃榿

I just noticed in the last two photos you can actually see the Omega symbol etched onto the gold Ultima's crystal clearly if you click to go to the full size image and zoom, even though its a group shot rather than a macro.

Pretty much any camera can take adequate pictures in good lighting, it's amazing the detail picked up here in this poor lighting!馃憤

Great photos, the detail is impressive!

As you noted, even the elusive etched symbol is clearly visible - even moreso cropped.

I upgraded from 6 Plus to 6S Plus and the speed difference is worth the upgrade. I was never happy with the 6 Plus, it was to laggy. All the lag is gone on the S model...and as @dsio said, the new 3D Touch is very cool. Even in email its a huge addition. Ive noticed a few of my apps just updated to support it as well.

Amazing quality for an image sensor that size, how's the video quality?

I'll take some later, but it looks pretty good, can do 4K video at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and up to 240fps slow motion

With Filmic Pro app you can record up to 150mbps (vs 45Mbps with camera app) and shoot at 24 of 25fps.
Video is excellent, especially considering the small lens. Its much better with 6S Plus because it adds optical stabilization when recording video.

Interesting, there must be a lot going on in the processing, usually with a stabilized (gyro) lens, the resolution takes a hit. I'm very impressed with the still shots. I think I've found my next toy.... I mean work phone 馃憤.

I nearly went with the Plus but the 6S is already at the limit of what feels acceptable in-hand, I just couldn't step further up to the larger size. The sample videos showing side by side 6S vs 6S Plus video are pretty impressive though in favour of stabilised version.

it takes a few weeks to adjust to the larger size, but once you do its hard to go back. I love the larger screen.
