I'm very pleased to share with you my latest acquisition. You really don't see these come up for sale very often, so when I found one for sale a few months ago I had to have it. The pictures simply do not convey the beauty of this watch. In my opinion it's the nicest looking of the vintage Zenith El Primero's. I can’t help but find myself staring at it for longer than I care to admit. Now here is the crazy part of this story. About a month ago luck was in my favor one more time and I purchased a second A3818. Yes, two A3818's in a matter of 3 or so months. I feel like Hugh Hefner with a Cover Girl on each arm so to speak. For those who may be interested I’ll be posting one of them FSOT in the next day or so. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to trade for another grail piece. This is the one that I'll be posting
Some guys have all the luck. But really, congrats man! It will be a dog fight in the coming days, for your A3818!
I really like these Zeniths. I like that they have the date complication to go with the chronograph. I may have to get one some day. I've seen a lot of dial colors. I guess they had a lot of variation from the manufacturer.
I have a terminal case of watch envy going on right now, Zuke. An a3817 sandwiched between two a3818s - that will haunt me. Wear her in good health and let the games begin on your spare!
A very nice brace of A3818s! I can't imagine one will actually hit the sales forum, the PMs are flying I am sure.
Yes it's definitely a gateway watch. There is simply nothing like the 3019 PHC movement running at 36,000 vph. So advanced for it's time, both beautiful and technically stunning. You will be become addicted, you've been warned!
This is truly a grail watch for me, and if I didn't have the good fortune to own two I would not be putting one up FSOT (post made earlier today). The one that I'm keeping will need to be "pried from my cold dead hand"
Hi! I've found this post and I was wondering if you have the reference of the strap in the first picture. The light brown leather one with blue stitches. I have a "cover girl" that would look lovely in it! Thanks
@Bullfr @Baz9614 Yes it is from Bulang and Sons. I believe it's this one here https://bulangandsons.com/collections/strap/products/caramel-brown-pepsi-stitch-leather-watch-strap Congrats on the Cover Girl. Show us some pics
