    Hello OF Peeps!

Long time lurker, first time poster — I’ve really enjoyed all of your knowledge here. I’m fairly new to watches having purchased just a little over a month ago my first high end time piece (an SMPc full size in black). I absolutely adore this watch. My wife and me purchased watches for each other to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary (the number 8 being a significant number in our culture) while on cruise in the Caribbean (I got the Seamaster, she got a lovely Cartier Cle automatic). We actually purchased my watch from the onboard AD and while I realize (now) that I could have purchased elsewhere at a better price, it was a fun event and equally fun purchasing and wearing the watch proudly for the remainder of our trip. Certainly this experience added to the memory of our trip and emotional adoration for the time piece. We even received a bit of extra attention with the AD giving us a rather large stack of raffle tickets (other customer looking on as we frantically filled each out) and getting what I like to at least think of as a special escort off the ship going through a special no wait time line at customs, although I’m almost certain this had more to due with making sure we paid duty on our purchases rather than any sort of special treatment.

Needless to say, I’ve fallen head over heels in love with horology and watch design already having my list of future purchases planned out somewhat. I’ve got a love for both high end and low end with my most recent purchase being a Seiko 5 Sports with a beautiful blue dial which I’ll sport on a orange nato as my beater watch. Next up will be a Seiko Ripley, a 50s Omega DeVille and eventually an Omega FOIS Speedmaster.

As a professional studio musician/producer, I already have a problem collecting drums, percussion instruments and audio equipment. I had no idea I would have such a love for watches, but glad that I do and glad to be here!

Sorry for the rambling introduction -- my question regarding the Snoopy strap : my local OB mentioned they have these for sale and I’ve contemplated purchasing one (or having one made aftermarket as the retail at the OB seems a bit high) but was wondering if anyone happened to have a picture of a black SMPc on a snoopy strap (or black nylon with white stitching)? I only seem to find images on the Snoopy Speedmaster.

Wears a little big on my extremely small wrists, but I like it anyway. Certainly limits some of my options which is one of the reasons I think an FOIS would be a good fit for me.

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on the beautiful SM! While I do not have any pics of this model on the snoopy strap, it looks like it should fit your watch just fine. Both the 42mm Speedmasters and your SM have 20mm lug widths and so size of the strap should not be an issue. Trying to picture it, I think a nylon type or even leather strap could be a nice dressed down sporty look!

There are some really great after market strap makers you could purchase something very similar through for less cost. Try it, and if it works then go back for the OEM version. This may be your best bet to try it out without paying too much on the venture.

    Doh!

Thanks for the excellent pictures. Certainly gives me an idea of what the strap will look like on my piece.
