They can't be serious. Releasing the same watch with just minor changes but for a 4k price increase.
I don't think this will sell well. Everyone who wants a model like this probably has the previous one already.

So 4k $ for a rocket miniature and some laser engraving improvements.
Ok.
PS. I'll wait for the "special" re-re-edition in 2029 instead.

This is an odd release for sure. Anyone attracted to the original one already bought one. I liked it and bought mine in 2019 off the Omega website for $9,750, have enjoyed it for almost five years, a great rendition off the classic 1861 movement. Who is going to pay a lot more money for this upgrade? Just seems odd.

Yea, ok.
I can buy the 1st generation for cca 9k in the 2ndary market. What makes Omega think id be willing to pay almost double for a new movement and a little rocket? These big brands are out of touch with relaity.

Nice improvement on clasp & rubber instead of leather strap.

Fratello's review didn't mention it, but I wonder what the box looks like, if Omega even changed it. The old Apollo 8 lazily used the 9300 DSotM's box with red highlights, so when you open the box and see a yellow-accented watch with a red-accented box, you are subconsciously compelled to buy a Big Mac with fries.

these are getting comical. For a $4,000 price increase, I want to see flames coming out of the 5 F1 engines on that Saturn V

I'm sure this is going to be a hilarious thread! I don't think Omega had a good thought behind this release. RJ may shed some light on it's relevance...

Omega's website shows it in the standard light wood box now, an even lazier approach. Actually, I kind of liked the black box, it went with the black case and dial, but it just gets stored away.

I know I'm being pedantic, but the astronauts saw the 'far side' of the moon for the first time. Bugs me.

I sold my Apollo 8 after a brief ownership. The dial and movement are beautiful but I didn't care for the ceramic case. I don't understand the push towards ceramic. Plus, 44.5mm is a big watch.

The rocket on the dial on this new one is distracting, like a dog running around at your feet while you're trying to talk with someone. "Look at me, look at me!"

This is not a terrible watch. Maybe it'll be one of those future in demand watches. But it feels more kitschy than the original. I just can't imagine wearing this.

Disappointed by this one. A material price increase, but only marginal improvements. Omega has, and can do better.
