First post, after poking around for a couple of weeks... I've already learned a ton from your collective knowledge, so a big thank you to everyone here! More to the point, I've recently gotten a new job, moved to a new city, and gotten married in the last few months so I decided to reward myself for getting through some major life changes / stress. Hence, the blue dialed Speedmaster moonphase!!! I really can't even begin to describe how gorgeous this thing is; Omega's website really doesn't do it justice. Unfortunately, this model only comes with the blue strap (first world problems, I know) so I was wondering if there's a way to get a bracelet without going through an OB or AD and paying through the nose for it. As for the metal bracelet: your best bet would be via Omega or an AD. The bracelet on the black dialled moonphase is a newer version with the adjustable clasp.
Quick question, lug width on these is 21mm? Does anyone have the code for the blue strap mentioned? Might work very well with my Aventurine?
Ha, ask and you shall receive! I'd say that this is the upper limit of what my 7" wrist can handle. Kind of amazing how different the dial looks in natural light versus indoor light. I'd also note that it does sit pretty high on the wrist, but not obtrusively so. In terms of the lug width, it is a tapered 21mm. I think you have a real winner with the aventurine dial!
Congratulations on the gorgeous watch and welcome to OF! I believe Omega really nailed it with the Moonphase. Awesome movement, very comfortable, and absolutely stunning dial. As you mentioned, the sunburst dial truly shines with different light sources and angles. It's a pleasure every time I put mine on the wrist. As to the bracelet, I think you should just bite the bullet and pick up the proper one made for this model. It fits very well and comes standard with the adjustable clasp. Anything else would be sub par in my opinion. Cheers!

Congrats, I love that blue dial. I agree with the others, just order the bracelet with the OB. A great watch like that deserves the right bracelet especially with the adjustable clasp.
