·Hi all,
Yesterday my fiancé gifted me a new Omega AT 38mm (8800 caliber) for an engagement gift.
I was playing around with the crown and I noticed one time when I pulled to the time setting position (position 3), the seconds hand continued moving. I pushed the crown back in, pulled it back out and it hacked the seconds hand fine. Pressing the crown back in and trying again has remedied it.
I was nervous something might’ve been wrong with this new watch, so I tried to recreate the issue many times. I must’ve pulled out the crown at least 20 more times and it hacked the seconds hand perfectly fine, although I was able to recreate the issue once more where the seconds hand continued moving.
My question: Since this issue occurred infrequently, is this considered a problem? Is there a reason to be concerned if the watch is running well and keeping good time?
I’m not sure if it’s considered a problem if it’s a one off or if it’s infrequent. I’m wondering if any of you have similar experiences.
