Interesting Watches Unverified Yet

Hi there, as I'm new here, I was thinking of sharing some watches I found online, other members are very welcome to share as well, so that everyone may learn faster, exchange expertise, verify them (simply connect the missing dots), and combat some scammers and exploitative sellers while also opposing weak action taken by eBay against such sellers. Other members might find shared watches interesting or worth buying, highlight information, correct information, can be used as spare parts or simply have a cool story behind it and so on. Since there are no judges, present and seasoned members are well valued for their contributions and knowledge, new members like me who find something interesting but are too shy to ask are permitted to contribute. We're all learning here, so nobody is passing judgment. Please note that this can be for any watch so feel free to share any watch even if it worth $2.

Since I'm new, I would like to know if sharing links or just pictures is permitted. Anyone is free to contribute their thoughts on how to make the discussion more respectful to all opinions, active and effective.

Most Important: Please carefully inspect any watches shared before bidding on them.

I also saw Lemania 13cz 33mm

My information is limited, as far I know Lemania 13CZ is vintage watch movement, specifically a manual chronograph movement. It's known for its manual winding and chronograph function. The Lemania 13CZ movement is also featured in some vintage military watches,

The LeMania 13CZ movement and Omega watches have a strong historical connection. Specifically, the Le Mania 13CZ, often referred to as the Lemania 2310 or 1320, was a popular and reliable chronograph movement that was used by Omega, among other brands, in their watches, including the Speedmaster Professional.

Note: please examine it very well before any emotional action and bidding, other resources and information on such watches are appreciated.

In order to make this type of thread both interesting and valuable, I would like to know what members think. Do you think it's worthwhile, if so, any advise?

This is a noble cause in principle but the practicalities mean threads like this become very messy and hard to follow as it will soon be full of people asking for opinions on multiple watches and it becomes impossible to track which answer rates to which watch, particularly as discussions go deep.

I presume this is one of the reasons the recommended eBay thread doesn’t allow questions.

For ease of reading and also to help people searching for information on specific watches in the future, my view (others may disagree) is that it’s much, much better to start a new thread for each individual watch

Indeed, read that thread through. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish here but most members don’t have time or inclination to do research for you on multiple watches. Do your homework and come back with some informed questions. There are lots of brands and threads to explore. The search function works pretty well.

Hello, David. Thank you for your opinion. After considering the points you mentioned—yes, solid points—you may be correct. I'll quit posting on this thread and will follow your advise, thank you.

Hello Larry, I greatly appreciate your opinion.it seems you did not get it, for a better understanding, please read my first post again. Considering what David said, he might be right; if conversations get more in-depth, it might become impossible to keep track of which viewers respond to which questions. Thank you for your advise.

I “get it” just fine. Threads like this get messy and deliver little of value to this database. Best is to title your inquiry to make it searchable, make sure it is the right place (brand forum) and ask informed questions. You will find folks here are more than happy to help. We do have threads going like “Universal Watches On E Bay” etc which give members opportunity to comment on individual watches. To be honest, of late we’ve had too many new “members” demanding watch appraisals etc. without doing their homework, getting nasty when they don’t like the feedback.

If you are interested in purchasing a particular watch:

  • please start a thread for one watch in the appropriate forum for that watch
  • make the title of the thread descriptive (e.g. "Questions about Longines mystery dial watch") so that it can serve as useful archival information in the future
  • include your own research, asking price, photos, etc.

I'm sure that members will be happy to help.

Hi Dan, Totally makes sense. Sometimes there are watches I am interested in purchasing, but also a lot of times I find watches and think this may benefit other members and save their time leaving it for their due diligence. I will follow your advice on this. I posted an inquiry a few moments before and did due diligence, but I am sorry; it seems I need to pay attention to the thread's descriptive point. I will pay attention to this in the future. Thanks a lot.

You can post whatever you want. But personally, I would be very selective about spamming the forum with watches you think might interest other members. Unless you are an expert and really know that you are posting something interesting, you could end up posting a lot of junk.

If you are seriously considering a purchase, then by all means you should avail yourself of the members' expertise.

Yeah, posting "various watches people might like" reeks of bird-doggin' for sellers or yourself(if the shoe fits).

Contribute to the Forum with your expertise, and if you have minimal expertise, welcome to the world we all were in before gaining knowledge and expertise.
