Interesting indeed! Only the second one I've seen with this dial.

Definitely a decent price for a stainless steel Seamaster

So I assumed this was a redial because of the missing lume and the double-strike line from 7 to 10 o'clock - I gather I was mistaken.

I'm assuming someone did, there's more likelihood of a chicken wing getting past a gauntlet of hungry Siamese cats than an uncommon Seamaster chronometer making it through eBay without anyone here taking a shot.

I know I watched it like a hawk.

There's just that pain in the arse $1000 dollar rule for importing into Australia that is too difficult with pieces like this.

I've imported a few including a Speedmaster Pro marked as $2000 and AusPost never flagged it :\

I thought the same. Do you mean to say that Omega produced a dial with that odd looking double strike?

    Mate, you were lucky.

I've had them pull 2 of mine and got nailed for duty, GST, the lot.

Plus it takes a while to get through.

I think maybe the double line was from a minute hand or second hand touching the dial. Lume on the dial might have been cleaned off, and the lume on the hands look a little new.

dial was good for the age and correct. lume on hands look like paint from the back. lume on dial desintegrated.and for postage into australia: use some other description, like " old horological steelcase...." or " old steelpart back from repair to owner..." these all describe watches without mentioning the word.....let it swim with the flow of parcels and declare a value of A$ 150. that gives it a special handling without attracting attention along the way. use a registered shipment with internet tracking an all will be fine. it is a different thing with goldwatches.....goldplated .....kind regards. achim

Might have also been the line missing the divider between the light center portion and the dark outer rim of the dial.
