You bet! My guess is that the dial is 18K too.

I forgot all about it as I didn't personally think the dial finish was very attractive but I suspect some better photos might have helped. It's great value at that price though.

I've added a photo to the thread for future reference. The case reference was 10357/11.

I have an inkling that the watch is in fact a rosé gold watch and that the not so attractively pictured dial is stunning IRL.

@Bill Sohne this is on you. When was the last time you expressed interest in a watch you didn't end up buying? :D

On a side note: Maybe this went under the radar because it came out of Venezuela...
Is it just me or do a lot of UG come out of South America? What was the most popular market for UG?

Yeah, the location scared me away. I learned early on in this game from ulackfocus to stay away from certain areas. Might be a good seller but it’s a policy for a reason. Served me well so far.

The dial is legit. Here is one I have that’s similar. Apologies for a photo from my cataloging system I guess you could say. No wrist shot because the dial is very, very hard to read. Kind of gives you a headache after awhile.

What’s interesting is that UG has two different waffle options. Here is the other.

Watch in the OP was a great deal. Hope someone here got it.

Oooh I'd like to have that first waffle Polerouter. Dial structure looks a bit like my Movado, which is even harder to read, because of the waffle/mirror parts.

Love that Movado! I had blown that model off for a long time as kind of gimmicky, but then I saw one in the metal - one impressive watch.

Quite a controversial design. My Dutch watch buddies never fail to vilify it when I show it. :(

They are mistaken. Very attractive in pink gold. Case with impact similar to a Polerouter Deluxe. Trick is to find one in good shape - one scratch on that dial shows, and it ruins the effect

    Hi all,

So first of all sorry for not coming clean on the day of purchase. Even though the seller had a good track record, the fact of the location in Venezuela and the price I paid, I would be lying if I said I was 100% sure I would ever receive the watch itself. I didn’t want to congratulate myself on what I thought was a good buy only then to have to eat humble pie and explain I was trying to obtain a refund via PayPal.

Anyway to cut a long story short (very little communication from seller and a package stuck for 4 weeks with Fedex in Caracas not moving anywhere which increased my anguish) the watch finally arrived today. I have posted photos below although not very good and in poor light I hope they give you enough to be able to let me know your thoughts.

The watch is yellow 18k gold (not rose gold as was suggested in the thread at one point). I am not sure on the originality of the crown but I believe the watch itself and dial are genuine along with hands. I am no expert but did research beforehand and hope I am proved right. (Fingers crossed). The case is pretty good I think although some marks on the back where someone has scratched it at some point
The reference suggests a date between 57-59 but the fact that the patent number is on the microrotor would, I think date it post 58 as I believe the patent was granted then and previous to this models had patent pending.

All comments good and bad welcome. I have temporarily put the head on a strap I had already but I will now be on the hunt for a quality strap to set the watch off to its best advantage along with a UG buckle if I can find one. Suggestions for strap and buckle also welcome.

Will also post on separately as new incoming on the UG forum

Great find and a beautiful watch, congrats. The crown looks to be replaced, as it is not signed and my 215 and others I have seen have rounded crown. The rest looks good to me and that dial is attractive.

EDIT: could be wrong on the crown, have a look @Selbo 's example.
