Initially attracted by the beautiful blue Universal Watch Co branding, I picked up this old postcard sent from Universal to Mathey Tissot in the 1930s chasing parts.

Nowadays, I suppose we'd send an e-mail or a WhatsApp but it wouldn't be quite the same.

Sitting here sucking down Java and girding for a day of fighting corporate anorexia ... I found this postcard very zen and a reminder of a time when life was still complex and fraught (1936 after all) but slower. Even a postcard (our text or email) contained a salutation and a closing thank you. Thanks for sharing!

« Il faut activer ferme » can be traduced in english by something like « you need to move your butt » (hurry up)

    Very funny find

Great reminder. Fast paced world now; back in the day, it was postcards, telegrams and probably more wrist time, looking and enjoying their wrist watches.
