So I decided to try my hand at making my own leather straps. This is what I came up with

All the hardware is made from 50bmg brass cas ings that I shaped and hand filed

 

Is that your first attempt? You got talent!! Looks good and nice source for the keepers

 

The brass is a nice change from the usual stainless steel. Excellent work. Like it when one designs and make their own.

This was my second strap. A friend wanted me to make him one but I didn't have anymore hardware so that's when I used the shells.

Wow! That's really impressive work!!! I'm not sure what to be more wowed by, the leather work or your use of the shells to make the brass buckle and keepers. I'd also be very interested in one if you decide to make and sell a few!!!
