Hi everyone
Just went through a vintage shop here in Honolulu and found this one interesting as the dial appears to be original ( meaning not redial or relumed ) and This is quite rare for those vintage Rolex chrono. But I didn't took the ref so anyone can help ? What are you thinking about this double named ? I knew turler and tiphany's dial but this one ... Never heard about ...
On the back there is one number and one Rolex crown engraved.

Looks like a 2508 😀 and I found the same one discussed by hodinkee...

W. Rosch Berne i think was retailer for Rolex in 40's.Very beautiful watch.Seems ref 2508,measure 35 mm?

Yes size is 35 but doesn't look so small on the wrist. Price is tempting but not the good timing ... And it is this kind of piece that's so difficult to buy without expertise...

Check reference number ,check movement ,serial number and ...
sometimes you have to risk.I can't give an advice .Is a very rare watch,and very expensive.You have pics with movement?

Not yet, was just in the shop briefly this morning to see what they have. I am here for 6 days... I will certainly go back and ask more questions... I really liked it...

Go back,ask question,check dial,reference,serial number and buy it in my opinion.But check many about this Rolex before to go back.Valjoux 22 need to be inside? I am not expert.

I understand your hesitancy when minute details can be the difference of thousands. I guess what would make me leery is the dial damage around the outside track - the one in the Hodinkee article doesn't have any damage like that. I assume from what you are saying that they aren't giving it away, but it is priced far below the one that was linked to in that article?

Already done and font about the jewelers seems to be later addition... Or redone :/
