What makes it "interesting" (not desireable!) is what has happened to it.
First impression is of a patinated watch.
However there are no T marks on the dial, and the movement is 44m.

I think it might be an omega service, from the time when they swapped out the movement as a matter of course.
    Mid 1980's ?
This is pure conjecture on my part, anyone know?

    Interesting Description.

Model : 145.022-69ST (Back Case Marking)
    * does this mean that the case back is marked this way, or that the watch is a 145.002-69ST?

Movement : Manual wind, Caliber 861, 17 jewels; Serial Number 44819613
(bridge with serial number not original to the watch, year of manufacture is 1980)

I think spacefruit is right: movement and dial replaced around 1983 during a service.

This has been on a couple of times.

I think it's a complete Franken, or its at least had some serious swapping going on. If the mods occurred during a major service in the 80's one would still expect T's on the dial.

I also think the dial looks plain wrong.

Possibly a new movement with a refinished dial after water ingress?

Passed on this one because the movement dates back to the 80s. It was priced on $1,1k before!

Do you guys think it would've been worth it to buy it for that price if it were an Omega service replacement?

    That's a post-1996 dial with that S and no T.

I don't know enough about Omega's movement / service swapping policy.
    Was it real?
    What period did it happen?

I have seen more than one 1969 speedmaster with a 44m or 48m serial that had definitely been to Omega for service. But I do not remember seeing the documents as I dismissed them out of hand.

One was a 1971 MKII telestop that I still regret passing - even with the transplant movement...

I had a private seller trying to sell his Speedmaster 145.022-74 with 27m serial cal 861. Told him 27m should be inside a 145.022-68, so he whipped out service papers dated last month from Omega showing the movement serial indeed belongs to his '74. I guess Omega don't really care.
