I am quite new to Omega-watches - I hope this post is alright.
I was wondering if someone could tell me more about this Omega, ref. 2639-5, cal. 265, serial number 127538xx watch. I have been informed that it is a ref. 2639-5 but does it have a more specific name?
I know the bracelet is replaced, but can someone tell me if parts are replaced?

    Thanks in advance
    Axel

All looks good to me but the way to check out whether the hands and crown are correct is to image search this reference.

    Thanks for the answer!
Is it possible the 2639-5 is made with two different dials. One like this and one only with the numbers 9,12 and 3?

Yes, and one without numbers, and one with all numbers...many variations on this one.

Is there a link between the 2639 series and the Seamaster-serie? The early Seamaster and the 2639 looks quite similar.

This is from the international series, no connection to the seamasters.

Quite a few of the dials bear some similarities, especially from that era.
The crown may have been replaced, but can't see clearly to confirm from these pics... This looks like a more modern logo. Parts from the 50's are hard to come by, so this may be the recommended replacement these days.

The crystal is cracked @ 11, so a replacement would be good to prevent any moisture getting in. As to a more specific name, i'm leaning towards Gustav...

One of the most common Omega references, made with many different dials and different hands also.

Thank you for an very useful answer!
Can you estimate a price on this 2639-5 watch? I know it is a difficult question.

It's an honest watch overall, does not look polished, cracked crystal, possible replaced crown, but with no movement pics. Also bear in mind that these lug holes for the strap are starting to oval and are getting very close to the end of the lugs...

If worn on a tight strap daily, they will eventually become this

i would pass on this example, this is not bad, but if you are buying one to keep for a while, i'd keep looking. :)
