You can add your watches to your personal property insurance. You can also put it in a safety deposit box and insure the contents of the box (cheaper option)
Are we talking insurance for theft/loss or for damage? For theft/ loss: +1 On what @WatchVaultNYC said. Keep in mind that, depending on your inscurance companys Terms and Conditions, it may be quite the task to properly insure watches via the personal property, home, insurance. With my insurance company for example, to cover the watches via the home property insurance I'd have to cement the safe inside a wall or in the floor, or the safe has to have a weight of over 200kg so it can't be carried away. And even then, depending on the security rating of the safe, they only insure valuables up to 25k €. To go beyond that it get's more expensive and complicated. While it may be more of a struggle on a day to day basis, the safety deposit box route is the cheaper and easyer way to do it. Cheers, Max.
A good safe bolted to a concrete floor should only cost $1k, soon pays for itself with no insurance premiums.
I too have had the same problem with my home insurance company .Their premium for the watches was ridiculously expensive. I think they just didn’t want to insure. Safety deposit box sort of defeats the object I want to wear the watch of choice depending on where and when I’m going . Going to your safety deposit before a night out is not part of the plan . Surely there is someone out there who specialises in watch insurance
