Hi guys,

I am looking to make my first purchase of a vintage omega, and have been following an Instagram seller named “rumajam” based out of Asia. He sells mostly vintage omegas and I have inquired about his prices a couple of times and they seem very fair. Has anyone dealt with this seller before? Legit? Concerns? Thanks!

3 of our members that I follow do follow him in return, but I can't say that's a referendum on them in general or not though. I would do a reverse image search and make sure they aren't copying pics and pretending that they are theirs.

Thanks for the info! Reverse google search is an underutilized tool. Would love to hear from someone who has made a purchase from him!

I would be wary of any seller who starts out with a statement that is untrue like that.

The first commercially available automatic watch was the Harwood beginning around 1928.

hi did you end up buy from Rumajam? I am also keen on a few of his watches online hence doing some checks

While I have nothing to say about this seller, in general I would discourage a new collector from buying on IG
You have NO recourse if it’s a scam or the watch is fake or franken
Your best bet IMO is private sales thread here on OF or the dealers thread Watches for Sale
For all of EB issues it is a safer place to buy than IG there is some protection for buyer.
