A great read from WIRED which provides a unique look into Omega's new high-tech factory and details the meticulous process behind the assembly of each timepiece http://www.wired.co.uk/article/omega-watch-headquarters-making-design-biel-switzerland
Interesting to read that Omega currently churns out ~3000 watches per week, with capacity to increase it six-fold within years.
Nice read that mate. Thanks for posting. (Quote from article) "......... At the core of Omega's solar-powered factory are 30,000 boxes containing every watch part imaginable...... distributed over four aisles containing everything from movements to hands and cases to dial" (End of quote) Very impressive, but where is the old box, containing all the Dot Over Ninety bezels, 24 tooth crowns, pushers and tritium hand sets that they've removed, over the last 50 years, during Speedmaster services?
He is saying the more omega makes, the less they are worth and regarded, I wish they would hold back alittle too like rolex.
