Could someone give me an assessment by the below photos if this is a true 67? I know the caseback is replaced but it looks to me like the movement is decorated as well which shouldn't be, right?
Wow, not even close to what it should be. As a total novice, the bezel hit me hard. From what watch did it come from? Not a Speedmaster. Case is heavily over polished. Dial kind of looks correct, but lume looks too good. Movement, don't know enough. If there was any worth here it may have be the dial and movement. Sure a 67 case back would cost dearly, not to mention a correct DON bezel. But not knowing enough, I will let others fill in the gaps. Ps. Would have been a 145.012 per speedmaster 101. See what it should look like here: http://speedmaster101.com/145-012/
Interesting decimal bezel. Might be a legit part. Need to look at it on a larger screen. I think it's safe to say there is a story here. -sent from a tiny device
The bezel is a genuine Speedmaster decimal bezel, but modern replacement deci bezels are very difficult to distinguish from vintage deci bezels, so are a popular choice for put-togethers as they don't stand out as much as a modern dot-under-70 bezel.
Parts seem OK in principle for a 145.012-67. Lume has been removed it seems which is why patches are even white. Hands correct. Bezel is obviously not the usual one, as abrod520 pointed out its hard to say if it is originally old, but unlikely. Watch has been heavily polished I'd therefore expect matching damage to the bezel. What is the serial? Does the back exist and come with it? How much? You can always (try) to sell the bridge for 10k$ . Florian
-Hands look like luminova to me, I'd expect they were replacements too considering the condition of the dial and the replaced bezel. Bracelet belongs to a ~1989-1991 model, too
5100 euros asking price. Looks pieced together to me. Serial is in the correct range, 25xxxxxx Original bezel but not DON. Caseback looks correct.
I would say earlier replacement bezel. That's basically a current bezel off of a 3570.50. Likely replaced with the Decimeter bezel since it is less obvious as a replacement.
Definitely not the original bezel. That's a modern (post-mid-1990s) service bezel. All original 145.012-67 tachymeter bezels were DON.
Well, new caseback, bezel (I'll bet my house that's a modern decimal bezel), possibly hands, a rough case refinish and removal of lume from dial. My guess would be that this was a well used watch where the lume was mouldy, case back scratched to hell and bezel beat up from years of use. The fact that the original caseback is available is promising, but the lack of original bezel, lume and poor case would make me run, quick, unless it was much cheaper and I wanted it as a beater.
