    Hey guys,

I inherited this watch from my father and was told he got it many years ago in London. I tried searching for this watch and couldn’t find one online that looked like this one. Either the writing was different or the shape was more circular. I have yet to take it to a watch repair and didn’t want to attempt opening it myself as I don’t have any experience. Is there any way to tell if this watch is authentic from the pictures? Or any kind of information about it?

    Thank you for the help!

That is likely an Omega Deville rounded rectangular case, possibly caliber 625 from the 1970's.

As for specifics, I'm not too sure, I haven't seen one like it so I'm not too sure of its authenticity.

I believe the bracelet was added to the watch and not part of it when it left the Omega factory. There no Omega marks on it and the case is gold (plated in this case) with a steel back. An all gold Omega would have a solid gold case.
