Inherited Omega

Hello!
I have inherited this watch and this seems like the perfect place to get some more information about it.

The text inside the watch says:
15 jewels
265 ohm
12233083
On the back it says: 2639–1
And some other symbol that I couldn’t make out with 334 underneath

The band says fixoflex, made in Germany, I assume this is not the original band?

Would I be correct thinking the watch is from around 1950?

Super grateful for any answers, regards Axel,
Sweden

Hi Axel.

Welcome to the Forum

It's a super lovely watch !
I believe it's from the 40s.
Very nice military style dial.

12233083 is the serial number that allows estimating the production date of the watch (unless you ask for an Extract of Archives from Omega to know the exact date of manufacturing).

2639-1 is the model of the watch.

265 is the caliber (not Ohm but Omega).

The bracelet is not original to the watch as you have already noticed.

Cheers 👍
