I inherited this watch. The enclosed receipt says GW5630 S. S. Speedmaster Professional Mov. No 1164/2000. It has an engraving on the back "The first watch worn on the moon" and Flight qualified by NASA for all manned space missions" Center of back says speedmaster with a horse symbol. 840 is stamped in two different places on the back. I have the original wooden box as well as the cardboard box, the manual and warranty card and a patch was in the box. It runs great; looks gold in the picture but it is silver. Thanks! Amy
Looks like you have a 3590.59, a limited edition of 2,000 pieces for the 20th anniversary of Apollo XI (circa 1989). Here's a comparable watch and another. Having the box and owner history helps the value a bit, so you're probably looking at the $3.2-3.5k range in terms of value.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it. I have been researching it but so confusing to figure out which one it is. I appreciate it.
Happy to help. It certainly isn't the most conspicuous "limited edition" Speedmaster that Omega has ever made, but it's a nice watch nonetheless!
The fact they only made 2000. Mahogany wood box with a velcro strap and the mission patch plus historical folder and certificate
Thanks for that. So the only thing limited is the extras, the watch is bog standard? That was very lazy of Omega, no wonder I've not heard of it.
