Hi, my father passed away earlier this year and had this watch. He never wore it and unfortunately didn't tell me or my mom where he got it or when. I took it to a watchmaker who opened it, the serial/reference number (sorry if that's not the correct wordage, new to all of this) is 1660125. I can't seem to find any good information about this online so hoping the experts here will be able to shine some light for me. Everything I see when I search that number is silver, or doesn't have the same face as this one.

My condolences.
Could you post a picture of the watch? That would help us help you. Generally speaking, it's rather common for a single reference (166.0125 is the reference number) to have a number of different dial configurations. Different colors, indices, hands, etc. It could also have been repainted in a different color. Show us the watch and someone here will be able to tell you a bit more about it.

for some reason the pictures I uploaded when I made the post didn't save - will try some different file types to see if that wants to work

I took it to watchmaker yesterday and he opened it and said it looks to be all the original parts, or at least if there were any parts switched out they were done long ago. I didn't think to get any pictures of the inside, it was my first time seeing the inside of a watch and I was too distracted. Band is omega as well, I just don't have pictures of it but will post when I can

This looks like a yellow gold plated case, with an Omega 1022 movement inside. The bracelet however looks like stainless steel - but this might be the lighting...

some additional pictures I got from when I picked it back up from the watchmaker today. the movement is a 1020, the band is a no.12 gold plated stainless steel. and yes, apologies for the lighting.

Legit watch. If you plan to wear it, have it serviced by a watchmaker who’s into vintage.

As you probably know, that 35 million number in your photo is the serial number.

thank you for the suggestion, the guy I took it to does a lot of vintage work. Thankfully my dad had this serviced many times so it's in very good shape and I didn't need to have anything done to get it running again. It will definitely be in my rotation

Yeah the watchmaker I took it to told me that but thank you, any new info I can get is helpful. I was told you can get help on the Omega website with the serial number so I did that and hopefully they get back to me soon
