Hi, all.

A collector friend of mine recently found the Omega watch pictured below. The serial number dates it to the 1930s.

We think it’s in its original case, but we’re unsure about the dial - a different Omega font than on the movement, and perhaps in more recent condition than it should be. The case back has some hallmarks we haven’t yet tracked down.

We would be grateful for any information or comments that could increase our knowledge about this watch.

Apologies for the pictures; they are not great but we hope they are sufficient. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
is the caliber a 23.7 S (should be written under the balance)? I doubt the dial is Omega original, but better picture would help assessing. The case is a custom, non Omega one.
Sorry, I can't give more info.

I am wondering if a 7M serial should have the slanted / italicized OMEGA font on the dial. Or maybe it's variable? Not in my wheelhouse, really, so just asking.

Sorry, I can't give more info.
I'm afraid the glare in the pictures obscures most of what we need to see. The subdial often tells quite a bit and we can't make much out from what we have.
Please try for some natural light photos and perhaps, we can be of more help.

We think it’s in its original case
Probably an original case but not a factory Omega but one for an imported movement, common when gold tariffs were prevalent.
Any hallmark stamps?

Here is a much better picture of the dial and back of the case, also a close up of the hallmark on the first inside case back picture.
