Hello, I'm new to the forum but I've been reading for a while and I have already learned a lot so thanks in advance guys.

I want a vintage Omega and I am looking at two options: 1960s Seamaster Deville (eg. the 14725) or 1940s “military style” 30mm caliber. The second option seems harder to come by in good condition so I'm considering the Deville too. I have a lot of questions about the 30mm that I'll save for another day.

So here are my questions about the Deville: I have seen the automatic with and without date, but the manual winding only with date. Does the manual version exist with no date (I'm looking at black dials only)? Is the automatic thicker?

Thanks. That's very good one and the silver sunburst is tempting too.
