Hello everyone! I was asked to purchase an omega Armin skeleton completely in yellow gold, Bracelet, dial and movement chiseled by hand, in a limited series of 50 pieces. Comes with everything, box and papers, never used, still with film and seals on the sides of the case. One sees a bit 'of oxide under the board, in the vicinity of the bottom of the closure, suppose that come away easily with a cloth. Here are the photos: Can you tell me reference / name and indicative quotation of thumb? Thank you all for your attention. Maurot79 from Italy
I never understood why a tool watch would be made of precious metal or skeletonized, but do both and it's baffling.
Premise: I do not like watches of this type, because they are not wearable (for everyday use, and I love a Rolex Seadweller). They've to stay in bank, wainting for a future probable revalutation. A friend propose me the buy of this watch. I think can be a good investment for the future, as the type of "clock", and the rarity of finding. Is a masterpiece handmade. I wanted to have from friends of the forum, an indicative price for the nos condition, to know whether the amount of money required to me is correct, or not. Thank you all.
I love it..... very beautiful. This is article from fratellowatch refer to this kind of watch with platinum case: http://www.fratellowatches.com/spee...professional-moon-phase-skeleton-in-platinum/ It said Oct 12 offer is in USD 37.000 range. ( while Omegamania auction fetch more than CHF 70,000) New all yellow gold speedmaster listed at USD 21,000 , so ~ USD 30.000 would be my guess on its value. Too bad it will only sit in SDB.

That 2007 auction price of $35,000 is somewhat of a guide, auction prices almost always have a decent premium over a private sale but it was 2007 and the market is stronger now for Speedmasters.
Even more reason the price would be high, but with that said, since 2007 Speedmaster prices have increased, so... I'd consider the 2007 Omegamania price high for 2007 And I'd consider 2007 average price low for 2013
Thank you dsio for the christie's estimate for the first of the 50pcs (I think this increase a little bit the value of the piece on auction). Now I know how many I've to pay it at this private seller, more or less. I'll hope in the future, when I'll need/choose to sell it, to return back the money invested, and maybe earn a few Euros. I'm sure it still will not be easy to find a buyer for a piece of this type.
I'm still a little bit undecided. I've to think about one week more, and wait more evaluations (I've ask at a big italian home auctions). Is a big immobilization of capitals, but I think in the future (10/15 years) could be an interesting piece to sell, If I'll find the buyer
Now the "baby" is in bank. If I'll decide to buy it, I'll do for the forum some hd pics, sith better illumination, and a little review.
