Hi, I just purchased this watch on eBay from a vintage watch dealer. It's an Omega Automatic, in pretty clean condition. However, the face does not state a model, just "Omega Automatic". Anyone offer insight on this model? I hear that some older Seamaster's did not have the Seamaster name on the face. I haven't opened the back yet. Thanks!
Hi, Did you get your any futher answers somewhere else about your Omega?Don't worry! One thing I can assure you that your Omega is a real one. I bought a same one with no model name but with“swiss made” at six o'clock(maybe it‘s for arabe market reason i don't know) in Ryad, The Kindom of Saudi Arabe, the year 1984 or so as a present for my father, togetther with another pilot style Omega in a Omega shop,of course with full backup and warranty papers. The later one was stolen years later and I keep the precedent after my father's death, until now. As a result of identifing and looking for a placement for its plexi glass,I come to see your picture in this forum. It’s quiet possible that our Omega is of model “GENEVE” after having checked out their outer glass diameter and comparing their case, hands and the date hublot. I‘m just wondering to ask you how much you’ve paid for it?
Yes, that's a redialed Geveve from the 70s, likely with a 10XX movement. Similar to this one: http://auction.catawiki.com/kavels/5891265-omega-geneve-men-s-wristwatch-70s
