    Hey guys,

very excited to share my newest purchase (albeit the last 5 watches i've bought were Omegas also)...

a 2007 ltd edition Speedmaster with the 3201 movement!!

it was delivered to my father's shop yesterday and i'll be picking it up this weekend - absolutely stoked!

this brings my current Speedmaster collection to 6!

obligatory picture: the seller sent as it was being boxed for shipment.

Congratulations! Keep posting your experiences with this timepiece!

I had one in my hands a few months ago, NOS directly from Omega. But with 5 Speedsters already in my box I hesitated and took this one instead:

    Gorgeous!

Do you by chance still have that lead on the NOS one?

I might ask them whether they sold it to someone else in the meantime.

Price was one reason I hesitated. The other reason was the echo in the forums regarding the movement, which was not overwhelming. But I still think it is very attractive (gorgeous dial, co-axial, chronometer, water resistance ...)

second moon to mars i bought for my father, but he has a weird magnetic field and the watch stopped a couple times while he was wearing it. worked fine for me after i got it back.

the gsotm is a gorgeous watch, but just doesn't do it for me for the long haul.

I agree on the gsotm series, sits a bit too thick for me. Strange about your fathers magnetic field, not heard of that before!

yeah. this isn't the first watch he's had issues with. the issue hasn't really occurred with his higher-end stuff, but i recall as a kid he had quartz watches that used to stop and one that even started ticking backwards.

Have a friend that has the same issue. Had a Rolex, stopped within the first hour of wearing it. He now wears an Aqua Terra every day.
