The watch is on a new strap now, by Veblenist. It took a bit longer to arrive than I expected, but that’s just part of getting a custom piece done, I guess.

I went with matte sigaro alligator, and it suits the watch well. No bolstering, so it’s nice and flat—very vintage looking. And I appreciate being able to accommodate the OEM pin buckle. (The cheap temporary faux alligator one I’d been using was too wide at the buckle to do that.)

Veblenist is pricey, but they do good work.

This is such a nice watch. I can see why you are enthusiastic. It looks like the best of the vintage years that went through a time machine that printed coaxial on the dial. A watch for Marty Mcfly.

I agree with you, it's nice to see the "6" uncut.

And the crown looks like you could actually turn it. I like those cloverleaf (or whatever they are called) crowns, but the vintage ones are tough to use.

Thanks for sharing. This thread is old school OF. No 'what's my watch worth' or 'is it real.'

Great watch. And like all good threads, now I want one.
