路I recently found a very beautiful and seemingly uncommon Longines reference. It's a caliber 30L watch (score!) with a case design I much prefer over the more common type, with long, narrow lugs.
What makes this one even more special to me is the 14k gold cap, which was very well done. I have to say I probably prefer this to a solid 14k case. The design is very aesthetically pleasing. I was first reminded of chocolate frosting, when I saw it. Very sweet.
The minute and hour hands are also really excellent. I haven't been able to find this reference configuration online, nor the case or hands alone, for that matter.
Any thoughts?
I believe this watch is in NOS condition, with original back brushing, band, and buckle.
