Saw this one on Ebay and couldn't help myself. I called the shop and made them an offer which they accepted.

It looked good to me but I just want to confirm with the experts. Does anything look off? The listing said 37mm without the crown but these are 36mm right? It does have a quickset date correct? Does the bracelet look authentic? I'll be removing it in favor of leather. It looks like it's 18mm on 19mm lugs.

If I was going to sell the bracelet how much should I ask for it?

    Thanks in advance.

I have the non-chronometer version (cal. 563) the case is 36mm with 19mm lugs. As for "How did you do?" Hard to say if you only paid $100 you did really well, if you paid $2000 you didn't do so well. By the way my case back says HI !

And I am partial to the "sparklies"

I went for it at $850. I probably over payed a little but given the condition and rarity I don't think it was too bad.

As a beginner (which I'm assuming you are, no patronising intended - I almost said learner, but we're all learners) I'd rather find I've paid slightly on the high side for a pretty nice watch than given the market rate for a piece of crap. So on that basis and assuming the dial is in as good condition as it appears, I think you've done ok.

I think you did OK, when you take into account the bracelet and the fact it's a "sparkler".

You might want to see if you can find the correct end pieces for the bracelet. Seems to be a slight bit too short.

Probably 18mm ends on a 19mm lug width watch.

    That is very good advise...

Normally people get stung for underpaying for a complete POS... overpaying for a nice one is not really an issue.

So in short: you might have slightly erred on the good side of things

    Hi

850 with a bracelet , incorrect but it is a bracelet ... The case looks great as does the dial...... That is 1000-1200 watch any day of the week in my book. Not including the bracelet .

    Great watch...

Nice find, chronometer and date only is a little more uncommon too.

Well I received the watch yesterday. Everything looks exactly as it did in the pictures. Unfortunately this is a watch that I loved in photos but I just can't fall in love with it on the wrist. It wears a little chunkier than I was expecting. Maybe because I normally stick to manual winds. I've decided to send it back unless someone on here wants it for the $850. Thanks for all the help OF.
