Just wanted to share a new acquisition: My first ever Genève Automatic (not counting Dynamics). Did not give it much thought, but I am bit of a sucker for coloured dials, and blue ones normally does well IMO. With a very fresh looking caliber 565 in a half decent SS case + signed crown! I made a not too optimistic max bid, and it kicked in at EUR10 below it so feeling good about the price. I hope I have not messed up on anything? OVD seems to be out, but I am guessing on a 166.070 ref? Or any better guesses!? It will get a light case refurb and a movement check when it arrives..... Even came on a Omega strap with signed buckle. Sellers pictures: :
Don´t think so.... Found a few looking the same, but you never know. One of the thrills of buying on medium quality pics......
Checked on the databases and there is no separate bezel on these. I think it is only due to poor lighting. Most watches I have seen of this style has been heavily polished, at least this one does not seem to have had that happen to it. Will post some better shots when it arrives in a weeks time.
It has landed! And I am very pleased to inform that all looks better than expected! Will get a little clean-up over the next days, but otherwise it is ready to be enjoyed. Cal 565 performs wonderfully with good amplitude and snappy date change.
