Finally got to own my favorite Heuer watch. Yes, I do like this better than the first generation Carrera! Case is quite sharp with original brushed finish. Overall dial is very attractive despite the imperfections at the edges and partially crumbled lume plots. Does anybody know whats the cause of those imperfections at the edge (near 8-9pm)? My guess is somebody tried to remove the dial and scratched it? Or is that natural degradation of the dial? Either way, I still love this piece! Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
Very nice, congradulations. Interestingly I recently serviced a Carrera but with the V72 movement, and today I just completed a full servicing on an Autavia (including of course complete teardown of the chrono module) with the Cal 12 movement, which is virtually identical to your Cal 11. I am having a difficult time picking out the dial blemish... www.roberthoran.eu
Very nice. I like the early Heuer designs and used to have two, a Cerrera and dato, but sold them when I realized they were never getting worn. It's great when you get your hands on a watch you've always wanted that's in good shape and ready to enjoy.
