I have long liked the AT line, but never enough to stop 4k on a dressier watch. Over the Memorial Day weekend, I got a deal I couldn't refuse on an AT Opaline-Silver (I have a penchant for white watches), and pulled the trigger.

    Initial thoughts:

The 41.5 is the right size for me. It's weird as the 39mm 2500 AT was better for me.

The dial is such a great upgrade on the 8500.

The 8500 movement is currently my favorite movement in the mid-tier luxury watch world.

The all brushed bracelet is the way to go in the AT world.

I'm not going to even pretend that I could be a one-watch man. However, this would be a possible solution to that, if forced (date, sweep, versatility).

The numbering around the outside of the dial adds an awesome, sporty feel.

This bracelet needs an extension mechanism.

    Overall, I love it!

Very nice watch! I prefer the "old" stile dial of the AT with the frame around the date to the actual dials of the ATs with Master Co-Axial movement. And the polished liks in the bracelet of the actual ATs looks horrible to me.

Your dial is nicer than on my new AT Golf, at least I could avoid the bling, bling bracelet:

There it is! Congratulations!!! Easy to brush the bracelet but give it a try for a few days. I ended up really liking mine.

Now if you look at the minute markers.....just kidding ;)

Perfect watches the AT line. They really got the balance between dress, sport, casual and elegant.

    Enjoy it!!

Beautiful AT, congratulations. I have the 41.5mm with blue dial non Master coaxial and absolutely love it. A very versatile watch that gets a lot of wrist time from me.

Love the AT 8500. Good choice. Someday I hope to find a nice used Skyfall or Bumblebee.

Perhaps we could meet in person sometime and work out our differences on the minute hand issues...instead of hiding behind users names on an anonymous forum.

(I kid....for those of you that missed the thread, it was a classic. I especially enjoyed it as I consider both Sergio and Brian friends).

    I'm loving it so far!

I do prefer the date window, but the hands and markers on the AT Golf you showed are worth the extra price.

I know the movements are essentially the same, but to have the "cutting edge" Master coaxial is worth a premium too.

I don't think you can go wrong with a single iteration of any AT (2500/8500/8500MCA).

The blue in 41.5 would have been my first choice. However, on the used market, sometimes you try a new color based on deal---and I'm glad I did!

B;ue was my choice too. (see avatar) love it. Also it helps that it's one of the wife's favorites. I'm shallow that way.

Mine will have to come from the used market when funds are available and I agree that one has to be a bit more flexible buying used. I did try on the AT golf a while back and it is a great looking watch. The blue hands are nice and very easy to read with my old eyes. Enjoy your new watch!

The actual "used" market I utilized here was an older display model.

You can garner great deals that way too. It's a reason to visit AD's in every city you go too.

In fact, I'm going to post my second incoming :)
