Nice one - no date version I see. Just finished this one... Second hand is more of a dull orange than red though... Cheers, Al
Congrats on this one What happened with the scam chronostop you bought few days ago? Have you already been refunded?
this is a great model - seems a very versatile general purpose chronograph, and a good size. The ones without the internal bezel are terrific too, but have always grabbed me as a little on the small side.
Thanks! I'm still waiting for PayPal to decide whether I'm entitled to a refund . The asked for 30 days to settle the case.
Keep us posted will be interesting to see how much 'pound of flesh' they desire before issuing refund
Dumb question: is it OK to keep the sweep seconds hand moving? Any additional tear, wear or anything?
There is some additional wear afaik due to the use of sawtooth gears for the chronograph engagement, I think Archer did an article on it a while back. Definitely don't run it too much unless its serviced.
Lovely email I just got from PayPal: We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your favor. We were able to recover the amount you originally paid and this amount has been credited to you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted. If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to recover the balance from the seller. If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account privileges.
Congrats I thought that if the seller´s account had insufficient funds to complete the refund, they (Paypal) would refund you, and then they´d take legal actions against the seller.
They've already credited the amount to my account -- I guess it's because it wasn't much, just 280 bucks. All in all, I'm quite happy -- I ended up with a better Chronostop anyway, even though I did have to pay significantly more than the 280 bucks.
As ulackfocus said - it's the CHronostop "drivers" - the face is at a perpendicular angle to the strap and is designed to be worn on the inside of your wrist. The idea being that you could read the time without removing your hands from a steering wheel. http://www.old-omegas.com/pics/chronostop/chronoad1.jpg
