Originally lured into this community by the beauty of a vintage arrowhead-adorned Omega Constellation 10 months ago, it didn't take very long before I became enamored with The 'Moon Watch'. I mostly listened to the veterans, and took my time learning and looking; bought the MWO, and after 3 1/2 months, I found 'it'! A '63 Ed White. Here's my incoming post: https://omegaforums.net/threads/ok-i-did-it-bought-my-1st-speedie-Ω-an-ed-white.20876/page-1 Unfortunately, the watch was not all that it was advertised to be. Despite the fact that the watch was supposed to be 'within Omega timing specs', it was not even close; and upon even closer inspection, the minute jumper parts were missing, and in their place: a wire ! I returned it after two days. https://omegaforums.net/threads/my-most-precious-to-date-has-arrived-then-gone-again.21008/ The frustration of that experience resulted in a bit of apathy towards buying a Moonie again.. my trust in sellers went to an all-time low. However, that didn't last very long. And this week, 6 1/2 months after returning the Ed White, I found my keeper! My daughter's cat always checks watches out for me first. I will let the photos do most of the rest of the talking! I will pause here, to see if anyone wants to guess which of the 145.022's this is... More photo hints to come...
The amazing thing is, I can't find a thing wrong with it, nor can I even find a scratch or blemish anywhere! Even still has the red dot
Actually, unless someone had seen this Edition's box in the past, it would be pretty difficult to figure out which one it is. Here's another picture after settling on a C & B Perlon strap:
Thanks, I'm thinking that means my health should be pretty good for at least the next few days, or a week!
BTW, Gemini4, your first guess was spot on. I was wrong on the LE numbers, the 20th Anniversary is the one that had 2000 (USA issue) made, and this one is the one with 2500 (duh, 25th=2500, 20th=2000).... my bad!
I didn't have my MWO to refer to. However, I do own an Apollo 11 20th as 1989 is my younger son's birth year.
